Soya Chunks Manchurian

Soya chunks manchurian goes good with chapati/phulka and with rice items such as garlic rice,ghee rice.

Serves-3

Ingredients
 Soya Chunks 1 cup 
 Water 2 cups to boil soya chunks
 Tomato 1
 Capsicum 1
 Onion(2) 1(small)+1(large)
 Green chilly 2
 Garlic 6 to 8 pods
 Ginger 1 inch
 Salt  1-2 tsp
 Oil 1 tbsp
 Soya sauce 1 tsp
 Chilly powder 1 tsp
 Coriander leaves 2 tbsp
 Tomato ketchup 1 tbsp
 Maida(All purpose flour)  2 tsp
 Water 1- 2 tbsp

Method


  1. In a vessel add 2 cups of water , 1 tsp salt and add soya chunks and boil for 5-10 minute.
  2. Strain the water and transfer soya chunks into a cloth and squeeze extra water and keep aside.
  3. Heat a pan on medium flame, add 1 tbsp oil.
  4. Add chopped garlic saute for 1 minute.
  5. Add chopped ginger and mix.
  6. Add 1 small chopped onion and green chilly saute till onion turns light brown.
  7. Add 1 big square sized chopped onion and saute till onion turns translucent.
  8. Add 1 chopped tomato and 1 chopped capsicum.
  9. Saute till tomato turns mushy.
  10. Lower the flame and add salt as per taste,1 tsp red chilly powder, 1 tsp soya sauce and mix well.
  11. Add soya chunks, saute for 2-3 minutes.
  12. Meanwhile, in a bowl add 2 tsp of maida and 1 tbsp water mix well and add this slurry to the pan and saute for a minute.
  13. Add 1 tbsp of tomato ketchup and mix well.
  14. Add 2 tbsp coriander leaves mix well.
  15. Close the lid of the pan and cook for 4-5 minutes in low flame.
  16. Ready to serve.
