Khobri Bhajo |
Crispy and Crunchy snack using maida, dry coconut, curry leaves, ginger and green chilly.
Khobri Bhajo one of my favorite snack. My grandma used to prepare.
Shelf life- 2 to 3 weeks
Ingredients
Dry coconut | 1/2 |
Maida(All purpose flour) | 3-4 cups |
Water | 1 to 2 cups |
Oil | 1 tbsp,oil to fry |
Ginger | 1 to 2 inch |
Curry leaves | 4 to 5 sprig |
Green chilly | 4 |
Baking soda powder | 1/2 tsp |
Salt | 1/2 tsp |
Method
- Add in All purpose flour(maida), salt and baking soda into vessel and mix well.
- Add all the chopped ingredients and mix well.
- Add water in small part and knead for 5 minutes.
- Make a soft dough. If your dough is sticky add some more flour and mix well.
- Add 1 tbsp of oil and knead for 1 minute.
- Let the dough rest for 10-15 minutes.
- Now for frying, apply oil to a bowl.
- Pinch small pieces from the dough and place them in the bowl.
- Once the bowl is half full start frying them.
- Soon after you drop the pieces in oil keep touching it little till all pieces separates from each other.
- Keep sauteing.
- Once it turns golden color, remove from the oil and place it in a plate.
- Let it cool down
- Ready to serve.
