Heathly meal with lots of fibre and makes you feel full for a longer span of time.
You can serve with any curry.
Serves - 2 to 3 (5 piece medium sized).

Ingredients
Ragi flour | 2 cups |
Water | 3 cups |
Boiled white rice | 1/2 cup (optional) |
Salt | 1 tsp |
Ghee | 1 tbsp |
Method
Note:Water and ragi flour ratio are 2:1 respectively.
If you add more ragi flour the dumplings will become dry.
So do not add more flour.
If you add more ghee while preparing the taste will be good.
- In a vessel add 1 tsp salt and add 3 cups of water.
- Once water starts boiling,lower the flame.
- And add ragi flour part by part, same time keep mixing so that no lumps are formed.
- mix well.
- Now add the second cup ragi flour part by part and mix.
- Here we will add only half cup and keep the rest aside and we will use only if required.
- If dough looks sticky add some more ragi flour.
- For 3 cups of water ,total ragi flour used here is 1 and 3/4 th cup.
- As you mix the dough will separate from the vessel.
- Now add 1 tbsp ghee.
- Added 1/2 cup rice(Optional)
- Mix well.
- Close the lid and cook for 2-3 minutes on low flame
- After 2-3 minutes remove the lid and keep stirring for a minute.
- Here in some places it is uncooked.
- Again keep stirring for 1-2 minutes.
- Cook this in low flame.
- Once it is no more sticky, the dough is ready.
- Switch off the flame and let it cool down for 1-2 minutes
- Dip your hands in water and take a part of dough.
- And start making balls.
- Ready to serve.
- Serve ragi dumplings with ghee.
- You can serve ragi dumplings along with any curry.
