Authentic Chudi Recipe 😊 | Shravan Special | Choodi flowers and plants collection Part 1

During this Shravan fortunately I am at my native and got a wonderful chance to collect many of the authentic herbs and flowers for the Chudi - the konkani wild flowers and plant based bouquet.

History has it that during Vanavasa, Seetha used to collect wild flowers available in the jungle for her use, and that tradition became a part of Konkani culture. Interestingly most of the flowers and plants used in an Authentic Konkani Chudi are seasonal, found mainly in the Western Ghats and known to be having multiple medicinal properties.

Even Sanjeevani, the herb Hanuman brought from Himalayas is supposed to be in this set of plants, we have give a detailed video for all of these plants as a Shravan Choodi puja Special.

We as kids have lots of memories to refresh. I would like to share a 10 years back memory.

As a kid I used to go in search of flowers and herbs for chudi. Many a times I used to bring wrong herb. And again I would go with my mother. And always patiently she used to correct which and what herbs and flowers to collect.

Today some of these herbs and flowers we never get to see. So thought of keeping a digital record for future reference.

We are also planning to collect various other herbs and flowers which are used in chudi soon.
