Nendran Kele Gojju |
Kele Gojju is made from overripe nendran banana also called as kerala banana. This is a forgotten recipe, very easy and simple to make I hope you like it.
Nice yellow banana is loved by everyone but when the banana turns black most of us don't like it. Instead of wasting we can make different kind of food such as fry, gojju etc.,

Ingredients
- Ripe Nendran Banana - 150 gram
- Water - ¼ cup
- Salt powder - ¼ tsp
- Green chilli - 1 (spicy)
- Jaggery - 2 tbsp
- Mustard seeds - ½ tsp
- Red dry chilli - 1 broken
- Curry leaves - 1 sprig
Method
- Peel the ripe nendran banana. Chop them into small pieces. Add them in a bowl keep aside.
- In a mortar pestle, add 1 green chilli, salt, jaggery. Grind to smooth paste, add little water if required.
- Add the paste to chopped banana and mash it well. Add water if required and make semi thick consistency.
- Now temper it with ghee, mustard seeds, broken red chilli, curry leaves.
- Ready to serve
